On the one hand, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) is tightening its grip on drugs in Bollywood. At the same time, the attack on the NCB team has taken everyone by surprise. In Maharashtra, three suspects have been arrested in connection with an assault on NCB zoning director Sameer Wankhede and his team in Goregaon, Mumbai last evening. Two officers were injured in the attack. Further investigation is underway.

Here, the NCB has arrested the actor Harsh Limbachia, the husband of comedian Bharati Singh, who is constantly under attack by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB). Earlier, Bharti Singh was arrested yesterday. NCB raided Bharati Singh’s manufacturing office and home and seized 86.5 grams of jute from both places. Both also admitted to consuming marijuana.

A bureau official said the amount seized from Singh’s home was less than the law. One thousand grams of jute is considered a minor and can be punished with imprisonment for six months or a fine of Rs 10,000. Up to 20 years in prison on a commercial scale (20kg or more).
