66W Fast Charging with 64MP Quad Camera on Honor Play 5, Phone to Launch on May 18

Smartphone company Honor has confirmed that its new smartphone Honor Play 5 will be launched in China on May 18. Prior to launch, the company was teasing the features of this upcoming phone to boost users’ enthusiasm. In this issue, there will be a quad camera setup on the back of the Honor Play 5, which will feature a 64-megapixel primary camera, the company said. However, the company did not reveal much about the specifications of the camera in this teaser.

The design of this upcoming smartphone is shown in the previous teaser. The phone is said to come with a waterdrop notch design display. The back panel of the phone has two models, the Gradient and the Laser Finis. This gives the phone a very premium and luxurious look. The company has a thickness of 7.46mm.

If the rumors are to be believed, the Honor Play 5 could have a 6.53-inch full HD + OLED display. This phone can come with an in-display fingerprint sensor. There is currently no information on the refresh rate of the display.

Speaking of the phone’s other specifications, the Honor Play 5 is said to be launched with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. As a processor, the company can offer the MediaTech Dimension 800 U chipset on this phone. As for the OS, the company’s customized operating system based on Android 11 can be provided on the phone. As for the phone’s battery, the company has confirmed that it will come with a 3800mAh battery which supports 66 W fast charging.
