French major automaker Renault has launched a new RXT (O) variant of its cheap sub-compact SUV Kiger in the Indian market. So far, the SUV has only been available in four variants, namely RXE, RXL, RXT and RXZ. But now this SUV is available in another variant, the RXT (O).
Decorated with a very attractive appearance and strong engine power, the SUV’s new RXT (O) variant’s manual transmission trim is priced at 7.37 lakhs. At the same time, the price of the automatic variant has been set at Rs 7.87 lakh. All these prices are offered at Ex-showroom, Delhi. The company will launch its booking tomorrow, August 6th.
What’s special about the new variant:
The Kiger RXT (O) variant is based on the mid-spec trim, but features some of the features that the company sees in the top RXZ variant. In this sense, the money is worth its price. Although it is around Rs 35,000 more expensive than the RXT variant, it is also 54,000 rupees cheaper than the RXZ variant.
The new Kiger RXT (O) gets full LED headlamps, 16-inch alloy wheels, a PM 2.5 air filter and wireless smartphone integration. Other than that, its exterior resembles the RXZ trim in which no changes have been made. The company also includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Customers can opt for the dual-tone paint option with the Kiger RXT (O) for an additional Rs. 20,000 will cost.
In this SUV, the company uses a 1.2-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces 72 hp of power and 96 Nm of torque. At the same time, its 1.0-liter turbo petrol engine produces 100hp of power and 160Nm of torque. This engine comes with a 5-speed manual and automatic gearbox.
