Cement maker ACC Ltd on Monday said its net profit rose to Rs 569.45 crore in the second quarter ended June 2021. The company provided this information in its report to the stock market. Shares of ACC on the stock market are rising after the quarterly figures. At about 12pm on the Sensex, the stock closed at Rs 2296. It is around 6.79%. At the same time, the company shares were trading at Nifty at Rs 141.50. At 12 noon, the company was trading at Rs 2,293.40.

The company’s financial year is January-December. 270.95 crore in the April-June quarter of the previous fiscal. ACC is a subsidiary of the Switzerland-based Halsim Group (formerly Lafarge Halsim). The company had a net profit of Rs 3,884.94 crore during the quarter. Revenue from operations rose 49.29 per cent to Rs 2,602.24 crore in the year-ago period.

Waste heat recovery system projects are well underway. “Total expenses of the company increased by 40.97 per cent to Rs.
