Age rules prevent 13-year-old ‘enchanting girl’ Tanishka Sujith from dreaming

Tanishka Sujith, who passed her first straight exam at age 13 at the age of 12, has struggled to study law at the graduate level due to rules and regulations. As a rule, they are not enrolled in the BA LLB course because they are under 18 years of age.

Tanishka (13), better known as the ‘enchanting girl’, said on Friday that I would like to be the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. That’s why I want to study law. Tanishka’s father Sujith died of coronavirus infection while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in the city last year. Anubha, the mother of a promising student, said her daughter wanted to enroll in the BA LLB course at Devi Ahilya University, Indore. According to the rules, only 18-year-old students can be enrolled in the course.

Eventually I forced my daughter to get a BA (Psychology) course so that her year wouldn’t be spoiled. On the other hand, 60 seats in our BA LLB course have been approved by the Bar Council of India, Devi Ahilya University Registrar Anil Sharma said. All these seats are already full. So Tanishka was admitted to the BA (Psychology) course and she started her studies. We have been helping Tanishka ever since.

He met MP Nishank
“I have met Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank on Friday for special permission to enroll Tanishka to the BA LLB course,” Shankar Lalwani, MP from Indir Lok Sabha constituency, said in a telephone call to Delhi. Pokhriyal said he would first talk to the University Grants Commission (UGC) about relaxing the age restrictions during the five-year comprehensive law course of admission to Tanishka, and then take appropriate decisions, Lalwani said.

Smriti Irani has released a video message
When Lalwani told Union Women and Child Development Minister Smriti Irani about Tanishka’s amazing talent, she posted a video message to the enchanted girl and patted her on the back. Irani in this message, Tanishka, you crossed the age of 12 at a young age. I bless and welcome you. The Minister for Women and Child Development also said that you are optimistic that you will create new records and illuminate the name of the country, Indore and your family by collaborating not only in education but also in social work.
