Arnab Goswami case: It is revealed in the charge sheet that the accused did not pay attention to the threats of suicide

There have been several revelations on the chargesheet filed against Republic TV chief Editor Arnab Goswami and the chick who helped him commit suicide (2018). The chargesheet states that the accused did not pay heed to the threats of the victim, Anway Nayak, to commit suicide if he did not pay the dues.

According to the chargesheet, Nayak, who was under stress due to non-payment of his dues, had strangled his mother Kumud, who had previously been a business partner, and then hanged him. The chargesheet was issued by the police on Friday in Alibag court in nearby Raigad district. Interior designer Anvai Nayak and his mother are accused of committing suicide in Raigad. Besides Goswami, the names of the other two accused, Firoz Sheikh and Nitish Sharda, are also on the chargesheet.

According to the chargesheet, the victim (Nayak) told the accused that he would commit suicide if he did not pay his dues. However, the accused ignored the threat and told him to do whatever he wanted. Nayak wrote a letter before committing suicide and was then hanged. Police said they relied on a suicide note as a precautionary statement.

The trio owed Rs 83 lakh, four crore and Rs 55 lakh.
Police said Naik’s handwriting was being handwritten and he was not under pressure when the morphology report was written. Naik, owner of Concord Design Pvt Ltd, said in his suicide note that Goswami, Firoz Sheikh and Nitish Sharda were terminating their lives due to non-payment. According to the note, the three had to pay Nayak 83 lakh, four crore and Rs 55 lakh respectively. The court will hear the chargesheet on December 16.
