The assembly elections will be held in West Bengal within a few months. Keeping this in mind, the political impulse is intensifying. AIMIA, which has performed brilliantly in the Bihar elections, has announced that it will try bets in Bengal as well. Party chief and Lok Sabha MP Asaduddin Owaisi is scheduled to hold a rally on February 25 in Kolkata. But, the local police did not allow it, so it had to be canceled.
Party sources said that OYC will launch a party campaign campaign ahead of the Bengal assembly elections through a rally in the minority-dominated Metabrijuz area. AIMIM Secretary of State Jameer-ul-Hasan said that the police did not allow the rally.
Hasan said, ‘We applied for permission 10 days ago, but today informed us that the police will not allow us to rally. We do not bow down to such tactics of the TMC. We will discuss and say the new date of the show. Kolkata police have declined to comment on the case.
Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Saugat Roy has denied the party’s role in getting the rally approved.
