Audio messages, which have been launched in India, can now be sent to Twitter

Microblogging website Twitter has released a special feature in India. Users will now also be able to send audio messages on Twitter. Twitter says the company has released voice message support in Direct Messages (DM) for Indian users. Currently, this feature is being tested, which will gradually reach the users. Prior to India, Twitter released the feature in Brazil and Japan. That means India is the third country to have this feature on Twitter.

What is Twitter’s new feature
With this feature, users will now be able to send audio messages along with text. Users can record and send audio for up to 140 seconds. One thing to note is that voice message is only available on the mobile app (Android and iOS). This means that if you use Twitter on the desktop, this feature cannot be used. However, it is not necessary to have an app to listen to the message.

Users will be given a play / pause button to hear the message. Users also get the option to report audio messages without abusing the feature. Let us know that Twitter first announced the voicemail feature in September last year. “This is a new way of expressing itself,” Manish Maheshwari, Managing Director, Twitter India said. Through this, listening to someone’s voice helps them connect with their emotions.

The voice tweet came last year
While the voice message feature on Twitter is new, it comes early in apps like WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger. The Voice DM feature is part of Twitter’s attempt to offer audio-based service on that platform. Let me tell you, last year Twitter released support for Voice Tweet. This enables users to voice tweet. However, this feature is not available to everyone.
