Bajaj Auto, the country’s leading two-wheeler manufacturer, today announced the launch of its legendary passenger bike Platina 100’s Electric Start (ES) variants in the domestic market. Decorated with a very attractive appearance and strong engine capability, the bike is priced at Rs 53,920 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Let’s say this is the cheapest electric start bike on the Indian market. The company has added not only an electric start system but also some new features. It also has a spring suspension, spring on a tubeless tire. The company launched its Kickstart variant in December last year, priced at Rs 51,667.

The company has given the Bajaj Platina 100 an electric start variant with a completely new refreshing look and design. It has been introduced in two new colors with new rear view mirrors including Vine Red and Ebony Black. The company has started booking this bike, which you can book from the company’s official website and from the authorized dealership.
Along with tubeless tires, the bike has a 20 percent longer suspension. Long seat, headlamps with LED daytime running lights, wide rubber foot pads. The bike has a 130mm drum brake on the front and a 110mm drum brake on the rear. The bike has Combi Braking System (CBS). It has a telescopic fork at the front and a hydraulic suspension brake at the rear.
There is no change in the engine of this bike. It previously used a 102 cc single cylinder SOHC, air cooled engine. It produces 7.77bhp and 8.3Nm of torque. It has a 4 speed gearbox. The company claims that the top speed of the bike is 90 kilometers per hour.
