At this time, the TMC has informed the Election Commission that the BJP is intimidating people across the border through the BSF for votes, and now Bengal BJP chief Dilip Ghosh has named the Rohingyas as voters in the border.

He said, ‘The entire team of the Election Commission has come here to collect the election preparations. As an opposition party, we have asked them to ensure an environment where people can cast their ballots in peace and justice. It is necessary to deploy central forces here soon.

Ghosh said there was an atmosphere of fear in West Bengal and that there were reports of violence in all 42 parliamentary seats during last year’s Lok Sabha elections. He added that central forces should be deployed inside booths and state police outside booths for fair voting.

The BJP has been accused by the TMC of threatening the people of the border villages to get votes on its behalf through the BSF. Asked this question, Ghosh said: ‘We are sure that the name of the Rohingya in the border areas has been added to the electorate. The Election Commission should look into this.
