Internal account The Khabri has revealed the salaries of Bigg Boss 14 contestants. It was reported that the recently ousted Shehzad Deol was the lowest-earning competitor on the show, while Rubina Dilek was reported to have signed a more lucrative deal.

However, the contracts signed by the ‘elders’ Siddharth Shukla, Hina Khan and Gauhar Khan have increased significantly.

Nikki Tamboli – Rs 1.2 lakh
Holy Punia – Rs 1.5 lakh

Host Salman Khan, whose salary has been higher since he first linked up with the show, has previously said he is willing to take a pay cut this year to re-track the show after a coronavirus-induced economic downturn.

He said he was ‘more than happy’ to take home a small salary so that the unit would not have to suffer. Speaking at the launch event, Abhishek Rege, CEO of Endemol Shine India, Salman said, “I am more than happy to cut it so everyone else can get paid”. During their chat, Abhishek revealed that although the new normal required a small number of people in one set, they did not let any employees leave.

“The new normal is that we want to have fewer people on the set, but we are keeping people on the move. We are not reducing the number of jobs.
