Rita Bhattacharya, mother of singer John Kumar Sanu, posted a video on her Instagram page, responding to Rahul’s doctors’ claim that John is in Bigg Boss 14 due to nepotism. When nominating earlier this week, Rahul claimed that he wanted to nominate John because he hated nepotism. The comment attracted much hate both online and at home, as everyone insisted that John never took advantage of singer Kumar Sanu’s son.
In the video, Rita said, “My John Kumar Sanu Ki Ma Ma Rita. I’m very upset. John has been at home for the past three weeks (Bigg Boss). All the remaining contestants are there too. Everything is going well – tasks and everything. Now all of a sudden, Rahul’s doctor said ‘John is a nephew and I don’t like nepotism’. I must say that John is not a product of nepotism, he is very hardworking. He wanted to become a singer with his own visionary determination and enthusiasm and because of his own perseverance he has shared the Bigg Boss stage with Rahul. ”
“If Rahul has an issue of nepotism, why didn’t he talk about it on the first day? John was introduced as Kumar Sanu’s son. Why didn’t Rahul have a problem with nepotism? Everyone in the house loves and supports him. Why is Rahul feeling so insecure?” John did not support and John backed him up but suddenly Rahul turned to hit him.
“Rahul was just waiting for the day John threatened him. He was calm all the time. “I think Rahul is insecure. He should not say such words. Both Rahul and John have worked hard.”
She sighed as she said, “Not only you, but the world respects Kumar Sanu. Aren’t you insecure about your bop? Isn’t it unsafe for you to hear people say such things about your father? You’re saying this because he’s a good singer, like his father, he’s a record-holder, a world-famous singer. I must say that if John was in Bigg Boss because of nepotism, it would be so bad. The whole industry knows how much John has worked and worked on his own. He could have cheated at least 23 songs – his father sang 23,000 songs? ”
I am pained by Rahul insulting a singer like Kumar Sanu. Please don’t listen to him. I have two other sons, who are equal singers but, by profession, one is an engineer and the other is a designer. They are better singers than Rahul. If my children were working on nepotism, they would have all followed the song professionally. I am pained because Rahul tried to insult my son and his hard work. I am grateful to all the people in and out of the house who are supporting my son, ”he said.

In another violent incident in Monday’s episode, John became angry when Rahul again named Kumar Sanu. “Terik kath nahi hai, tu koi nahi (you are nobody. You are not entitled to talk about my father).” The other contestants had to intervene to make sure the two didn’t get into a physical fight. John shouted, “Mai 6 maheen ka tha jab separation hua just parents ka, yeh just bap pe bolta hai (I was only six months old when my parents separated).”
An angry John also said, “My Idhar Isli nahi hu kumar sanu ka beta hu my isliye aa kuuki ma rita Bhattacharya ka beta hoon (I am not here because I am Kumar Sanu’s son, I am here Rita Bhattacharya’s son).”
