BJP’s bat in Gujarat civic polls, BJP’s strong fortress not moving despite injury in two states

Votes are being counted today after the election of six municipalities in Gujarat. Considering the trends and statistics so far, the BJP has managed to maintain its stronghold even after the injury in two states. The six municipalities polled 576 seats. The BJP has an edge in every municipality. Of these, the BJP has won over 250 seats, while counting is taking place in other places and the BJP is leading.

Congress, on the other hand, is again disappointed. According to media reports, the Congress has won 37 seats so far, but it is ahead in some places. Looking at the statistics so far, the BJP has once again managed to save its fort. But, the final figures are yet to come from the state election commission.

The Aam Aadmi Party led by Kejriwal has certainly benefited from this election. According to media reports, the Aam Aadmi Party won 23 seats in Surat. In this way, there is a new ground for the Aam Aadmi Party. After receiving the new ground, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal tweeted, “Heartfelt congratulations to the people of Gujarat who have started new politics”.

The BJP was wounded in two states
Gujarat’s civic polls are eye-catching because the BJP is suffering in two states. It has one Punjab, where there have been recent body elections and the other is Rajasthan. While the BJP’s performance in Rajasthan was largely satisfactory to the party, the Congress topped the list. Independent candidates have contributed greatly to Rajasthan. The BJP also suffered badly in Punjab.

Congress won in Rajasthan

There was fierce rivalry between the Congress and the BJP in the civic polls in Rajasthan. The Congress won 1197 wards while the BJP won 1140 wards. Independents dominated after both parties. A total of 634 independents are victorious, who are instrumental in creating many boards. NSP won 46 and RLP 13 wards. CPIM has been successful in registering its presence in three wards. Polling was held on January 28 in 90 urban institutions in 20 districts of Rajasthan.

Punjab Swatch is
The Congress got a splash in the local bodies elections in Punjab. In Punjab, the Congress has seized all seven corporations in the state, eliminating the main opposition party, the Aam Aadmi Party, the Shiromani Akali Dal and the BJP. If Congress won six of the seven corporations, it would become the single largest party in a corporation. A total of 9,222 candidates were in the arena on February 14. So much so that BJP MP Sunny Deol, who has become a Bollywood actor, has been disappointed in his parliamentary constituency. The party could not even open an account in Gurdaspur. The party lost all 29 seats. The unilateral Congress won here. Deol is the MP for the Gurdaspur Lok Sabha seat in Punjab.
