Cheteshwar Pujara is set to strike again in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Pooja was bought by Chennai Super Kigs for Rs 50 lakh, which was their original prize. Pooja is making a comeback in the IPL after 7 years and he is preparing for it. He said playing under Mahendra Singh’s leadership was an emotional moment for him. Mahendra Singh Dhoni said that he made his international debut under the leadership.
CSK owner N Srinivasan said Pooja could not be auctioned off as he was a historic victor in Australia. Pooja and Srinivasan made such a statement when playing for CSK, saying they were special. I consider myself fortunate to have been part of such a team. I am fortunate that I play under the leadership of Mahi Bhai (Mahendra Singh Dhoni) as he was my captain during my international cricket debut. “Srinivasan, who has been associated with cricket for a long time, is very good at saying such things about me,” he said.
Rishabh Pant joined the Special Club soon after becoming the captain of the Delhi Capitals.
Speaking with Krickbuzz, he said, “This is an emotional moment for me. Notably, senior batsman Pujara has not played much T20 cricket. Pujara says he will not overdo it as a T20 player. I can’t say where I stand as a T20 cricketer but I am in a good position as a cricketer. After playing a lot of international cricket, I am confident that I will do well in the short form as well. I think that’s part of the proper setup in IPL. The franchise, the captain and the supporting staff, these are the best things I have. There are many people here who guide me to perform better.
