CM Yeddyurappa instructs stringent action to control Kovid-19 mortality

BelgaumChief Minister BS Yeddyurappa has instructed officials to take stringent measures to control Kovid-19 infection and mortality in Belgaum district.

At a meeting of senior officials on Wednesday at the city’s tour of Kovid, he said the government’s guidelines should be complied with.

Mask wear must be enforced. Those who violate the law should be prosecuted without penalty. He directed that social interdisciplinary care should be given first priority.

Receiving information from the authorities on the obstacles to the Kovid-19 inspection, the chief minister said the new guidelines set by the central government in the coming days should be taken as a precautionary measure as more activities are to begin.

District Collector MG Hiremath, who informed the meeting about Kovid-19 control in the district, said there is currently a gradual decline in infection and mortality.

Further action will be taken on the implementation of the guidelines, the District Collector said.

Home Minister Basavaraja Bommai and District In-charge Minister Ramesh Zarakiholi were also present.

Belgaum North Zone IGP Raghavendra Suhas, District Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Darshan HV, District Police Superintendent Lakshmana Nimbaragi, Superintendent of Police Ashoka Dudagunti, District Health and Family Welfare Director Dr. S.S.V.Munyala, District Surveyor Various departmental officials including Dr. Vinaya Dastikoppa and Belgaum deputy officer Ashoka Theli attended the meeting.
