BCCI President Sourav Ganguly stepped down on Tuesday for the 49th year. Ganguly, known as ‘Dada’ in the sports world, is regarded as one of India’s most successful leaders. He has captained India in 146 ODIs, of which the team has won 76. Also, under his captaincy, India have recorded 21 wins and 15 draws in 49 Tests. It was under Dada’s leadership that Australia won the series by winning 16 consecutive Tests in 2001, beating them 2-1.
