Corona expires 300 bank employees, IBA weekly details: AIBEA

Bank Association AIBEA has urged the Indian Banks Association (IBA) to release the details of Kovid-19 affected bank employees on a weekly basis. According to the All India Bank Employees Association (AIBEA), over 1300 bank employees have died and many employees have been infected due to Kovid-19 in the country. There are about 13.50 lakh bank employees in the country and 0.10 per cent of employees have died from corona.

Request to help corona vaccine

AIBEA has asked the Indian Banks Association to help all employees get the corona vaccine on priority so that they can continue their duty without any fear. “A large number of employees have been infected in the second wave of coronary infection, which has caused panic among bank employees,” AIBEA General Secretary CH Venkatachalam said in a letter to the Indian Banks Association.

By January 2021, 600 bank employees have died

According to figures from the Association of Indian Banks, by January 2021, 600 bank employees had died from corona. This figure has now risen to 1300. He said there were around 13.50 lakh bank employees in the country and 0.10 per cent of them were killed by corona. This figure indicates that the number of deaths from coronary infection is higher than the national average and that bank employees are at higher risk for infection.

The central government has urged state governments to apply the vaccine to bank employees on priority basis, Venkatachalam said. “The central government has so far not issued any directive on vaccination of bank employees on priority basis,” he said. Bank employees think the government is ignoring them. They are serving their people in the midst of their duty and the threat of disease.
