Scientists who invented the AstraZeneca vaccine to protect themselves from the corona virus say it could work against the redesigned Kovid-19, which was discovered in Britain late last year.
Other vaccine manufacturers, including Pfizer and Moderna, are similar to results previously found. Andrew Pollard of Oxford University, who helped develop the AstraZeneca vaccine, said the vaccine would slow down the spread of the virus to people infected with the corona virus.
Research in this regard has not yet been published in any major paper. Sarah Gilbert of Oxford University says the vaccine should also be adapted to combat a new type of coronavirus found in Britain. For this, vaccine manufacturers can add a new gene sequence to it.
Scientists are in talks with regulatory agencies about this so they can authorize a new vaccine soon. Researchers are studying the potential effectiveness of the vaccine against a new form of coronavirus found in South Africa.
