Daughter marries lover, father complains of missing, adult girl is free to live with anyone

The Delhi High Court on Wednesday said that an adult girl could live anywhere and be independent with her independent ich.

The High Court issued this statement in the case of a 20-year-old girl marrying a lover who leaves home without the consent of the family. The court directed the girl’s father not to threaten her daughter and husband in any way or try to take the law into their own hands.

This was directed by the justices Vipin Sanghi and Rajneesh Bhatnagar during the hearing of the habeas corpus petition filed on behalf of the girl’s father. The girl’s father had said in the petition that the daughter was missing and the police should be ordered to find her. At the hearing of the case, the girl appeared in front of a bench and said she was 20 years old and had left home on her own. The girl told the bench that she was married to a young man and was living her married life.

The High Court did not go missing on the girl, but she left her parents’ house and married as her own icht. The jury said it was clear from the fact that the girl was an adult. The Tribunal held that in such a situation they were free to live anywhere and voluntarily with anyone.

With this, the court directed the Delhi police to take the young girl who was married to the girl under her protection. The court dismissed the petition filed on behalf of the girl’s father stating that any adult girl is free to live anywhere and voluntarily live with anyone.

The girl was 20 years old and her family members could not put any pressure on her to make any decision, the court said. The petition alleges that the young woman illegally possessed the girl.

The police should provide immediate protection to the couple if needed

The high court has told Delhi Police that where the girl lives with her husband, a police officer has been ordered to share a mobile number with her. The high court has said that if the victim ever feels insecure or is looking for any danger, police officers should be compensated immediately. He told the girl he was in contact with the police.
