Demand for this 7-seater SUV from Tata continues to rise, with production figures crossing 10,000

Tata Motors, the country’s leading automaker, recently launched its famous SUV Tata Safari in a new style in the domestic market. Although the name Safari is quite old and familiar to the Indian market, this SUV has gained immense popularity since its launch. Now the company has shipped 10,000 units of this SUV from its plant in Pune in just 5 months.

According to data received by the company, 100 units of Tata Safaris were rolled out in February and 9,900 units were made in the last four months. The company claims to be the best-selling SUV in the Tata Safari 6 and 7-seat segment, with 25.2 per cent of the SUV segment. In the higher SUV segment, Tata Safari and Tata Harrier together hold 41.2 per cent of the market share.

Looking at sales figures, the company sold 1,530 units in May compared to 1,730 units sold in the previous month. Tata Safari has introduced 6 seater and 7 seater designs. Its price ranges from Rs 14.99 lakh to Rs 21.81 lakh. The company has introduced this new SUV in a total of 6 trim levels.

In this SUV, the company uses the 2.0-liter powerful Crytech Turbo Diesel engine which produces 170 hp. It has a 6-speed manual transmission and a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. The company may launch in the future with a four wheel drive system in the market.

The SUV will offer its signature style Oak Brown Dual Tone Dashboard. In addition, features such as 8.8-inch Floating Infotainment System, 7-inch Instrument Panel, Strong Speakers from JBL, Panoramic Sunroof. Various variants include ambient lighting, Xenon HID projector headlamps, USB charger, subwoofer, electronic parking brake, automatic vehicle grip, three different Terran modes (normal, wet and rough road), multi-function steering. The wheels, automatic AC, semi-digital instrument console and Oak Brown outfit make the interior even more premium.
