Congress is preparing to encircle the government once again in connection with the Balakot strike. The party alleges that some were aware of it before the strike. It is playing with national security. The party has sought answers from Defense Minister Rajnath Singh on how this information was received by pro-government journalists. The party will soon put all these issues of national security in the hands of the nation.
Former Union minister and senior Congress leader P. Chidambaram tweeted that the journalist (and his friend) were aware of retaliation at the Balakot camp three days before the actual strike. If so, what is the assurance that their sources would not have been sharing information with others, including gooey spies or informers working with Pakistan? He tagged the defense minister with his tweet.
Congress veteran Ranip Surjewale, too, was responding to media queries at the party headquarters stating that the party was studying the Mumbai police charge sheet. This is a serious matter of national security. The party will soon make its opinion public in this regard. It is clear from the standpoint of the party that the party is engaged in a comprehensive strategy to envelop the government on issues related to the Balakot strike and national security.
Meanwhile, P Chidambaram has targeted NITI Aayog for refusing to provide information pertaining to agricultural laws. He tweeted that the NITI Aayog Committee of Agriculture Chief Ministers had presented their report in September 2019. The report was not presented to the governing body of NITI Aayog even after 16 months. Why, no one knows and no one answers.
