Distressed by criticism, Dinesh Karthik left Kolkata Knight Riders captain, he will be the next captain

New Delhi: Dinesh Karthik, the captain of the Kolkata Knight Riders, a franchise of the Indian Premier League, has decided to quit. His leadership was severely criticized after his average performance in the team’s opening matches. After this, Karthik has recommended England to take on the responsibility of Ioan Morgan’s Kolkata captaincy to win the World Cup.

Kolkata skipper Dinesh Karthik has recommended handing over to Eoin Morgan. According to the English website, Karthik is reported to have made this big decision as his leadership could not bring the team the desired success. It has been announced on social media that on behalf of Kolkata, Morgan will now take over the leadership of the team.

In a tweet written on behalf of KKR, Dinesh Karthik and Eoin Morgan have done a great job together and will now take over the leadership of Ion. It’s like changing each other’s roles.

Kolkata have played a total of seven matches in this tournament. Of these, Team 4 wins and Team 3 loses. The team currently ranks fourth in the Points table. In the last match, the team lost to Royal Challengers Bangalore by 82 runs. The team lost the match by 49 runs against the Mumbai Indians in the first match of the tournament.

But, this is not the first time a team leader has suddenly given up this responsibility to someone else. Earlier, when the Delhi Daredevils were Delhi Daredevils, Gautam Gambhir had given the young Shreyas Iyer the role of captain in the middle tournament.
