Djokovic beat Lorenzo Musetti 6-7, 6-7, 6-1, 6-0, 4-0 in the quarterfinals of the French Open. After losing to Germany’s Philippe Kohlschreiber in 2009, 2016 champion Djokovic has not lost in the fourth round in Paris, and has broken Musetti’s dream of becoming the eighth player to reach the quarter-finals in his Grand Slam debut. Musetti left the match after leading 0-4 in the decisive set.

Musetti, the world No. 76, became the 18-time Grand Slam champion with 25 winners in the first two sets of the biggest match of his career. But Djokovic, known as Marathon Man, reached the quarter-finals, allowing Musetti to win just one of 16 matches over the next three sets. Djokovic scored 28 points from 3-1 to 30 in the third set, 4-0 in the fourth set. The Serbian player finished the game in three hours and 27 minutes. In the quarterfinals, Djokovic will face ninth-seeded Italian Matteo Berettini, who moved to the quarter-finals without a fourth-round exit from former number one Switzerland Roger Federer.
