Bihar panchayat elections are likely to take place in Bihar from March to May. State Election Commission has taken action for this. The panchayat elections will be completed in a maximum of nine stages. The panchayat general election 2021 will be counted in the sub-divisional headquarters.
Paramilitary forces will be deployed in the districts during the election. In a press release issued on Sunday for the panchayat elections, the state Election Commission of Bihar has named the district election officer (panchayat) and district panchayat raj officer as deputy election officer of all 38 districts of the state.
The Commission has given him this responsibility under the Bihar Panchayat Raj Act 2006 and the Bihar Panchayat Elections Rules 2006. According to the Commission, for some reason the Panchayat General Elections, 2021 and Post-Elections elections have been held responsible for this by-election.
In another direction, the commission’s secretary, Yogendra Ram, said all district officials and district election officials (panchayats) are expected to hold general elections in March-May 2021 for three-tier panchayats and village courts. The number of polling stations in the panchayat elections is higher than the polling stations in the assembly polls. This will increase the need for voting staff and security forces. The commission said it was writing to the government about the deployment of central armed forces for the panchayat elections. It will be notified to all districts after its approval.
Voting will be held in a large hall overlooking Kovid 19 at the subdivision headquarters. The cemetery at the headquarters of the subdivision must be guarded by a paramilitary / district guard. The Commission Secretary directed that all DMs be sent a proposal for conducting panchayat elections in their district after consultation with the Senior Superintendent of Police and other concerned officials of their district. According to the commission, the panchayat elections will be held in a maximum of nine stages. The Commission is seeking details of block-wise blocks within a maximum of two weeks. Therefore, the proposal for holding an election will be sent to the state government for consideration.
