Eye on South after Bihar? Amit Shah on the road to Chennai with supporters regardless of protocol

After the formation of the NDA government in the Bihar assembly, the BJP is now looking south. Amit Shah, the former president of the party and the present Union home minister, is spearheading this. Amit Shah did not even care about the protocol to welcome his supporters in Chennai on Saturday. He got out of the vehicle and started walking on a busy GST road outside the airport. Shah is on a two-day tour of Tamil Nadu. He thanked the people of the city for their love and said that it was a great thing to be in Tamil Nadu.

Shah was welcomed by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister K Palaniswami, Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam, senior cabinet members and BJP state president L Murugan and others shortly after arriving from Delhi. After exiting the airport, Shah’s car suddenly stopped and he walked on foot to greet BJP and AIADMK activists.

Shah’s visit was attended by Chief Secretary of State K. Shanmugam and Director General of Police J.K. Tripathi, Chennai Police Commissioner Mahesh Kumar Agarwal and other officials were present. Shah was greeted by AIADMK and BJP workers who were present on both sides of the road from the airport. Inspired by this, Amit Shah got down from his vehicle and walked as far as he could.

Tight security arrangements have been made in the wake of Shah’s visit. He is likely to hold a meeting with state BJP officials on the Tamil Nadu assembly elections in April-May next year. Meanwhile, Shaw tweeted and thanked the city for its love and support. He posted and tweeted a video clip of Podiatra on GST Road – It is always great to be in Tamil Nadu, thank you Chennai for this love and support.
