India lost to New Zealand in the 2019 World Cup semifinals. The 2019 Cricket World Cup was a spectacular performance for the Team India group stage. India topped the league by winning 8 out of 9 matches. Chasing a target of 240, India lost 6 wickets for 92 in 31 overs. It was followed by a comeback in the form of Ravindra Jadeja and MS Dhoni. There was a 116-run partnership between the two.
Indian fans were confident that Dhoni would win India and reach the final. But in the 49th over, Dhoni was out for a brilliant straight delivery from Martin Guptill. India lost the match by 18 runs and India’s dream of winning the ODI World Cup for the third time was shattered. New Zealand all-rounder Jimmy Neesham asked how Dhoni feels before and after the run. Nisham replied, “First – cool, we can win. Then – cool, we will surely win.”

England and New Zealand meet in the 2019 World Cup final Chasing a target of 242, England managed to tie the game. The match then went to a super over and it ended in a draw. But England had 22 boundaries and New Zealand 17 runs in the entire match. On this basis England became the winner and for the first time won the ODI World Cup.
