For the next four months the government is giving away free rations, if there is no ration card, do it without any hassle while sitting at home.

Due to the corona crisis, the central government has been providing free rations in the country under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan scheme and providing more relief to poor families. The government has announced a free ration for the poor for the next 4 months till November. The aim of this project is to give profits to 80 crore people in the country. Under this, 5 kg of food grains will be provided to the poor in free 5 kg rations. It should be noted that this benefit is only available to those with ration cards. In that case, if you do not have a ration card, you can apply for an online ration card that is now sitting at home. All states have created a website on their behalf. Do this for a ration card Apply online
First go to your state’s official website. If you are a Northern Territory resident you can download the form by accessing https://fcs.up.gov.in/FoodPortal.aspx. On the other hand, Bihar applicants can apply by clicking on Hindojana.com/Apply-Ration-Card-Bihar/ and Maharashtra applicants by clicking on Mahafood.com.

The application fee for ration varies from Rs 5 to Rs 45. After filling out the application form, pay the fee and submit the application.

After a field check, your ration card will be generated if your application is found correctly.

Under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Scheme, you will also get these cereals from the same ration shop where you are taking food grains from the ration card till November. If you have 4 people registered on your ration card, everyone will get 5-5kg, which means a total of 20kg of cereals.

These documents are required
Aadhaar card, voter identification card, passport, any government issued identity card, health card and driving license can be used as proof of identity to produce a ration card. In addition, documents such as a PAN card, passport size photograph, income certificate, electricity bill, gas connection book, telephone bill, bank statement or passbook, rental agreement are required as proof of address.
