Former West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharya was hospitalized in south Kolkata on Wednesday afternoon. Their health is said to be impaired. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee visited the Woodlands Hospital and took care of her. Bhattacharya, 76, was examined by Kovid-19 in which he was not infected, officials said.
Bhattacharya was placed in a critical medical room on a ventilator, sources said. A senior hospital official said, “Bhattacharya’s RT-PCR test revealed that he was not exposed to coronavirus. The good news is that a brain scan of his brain revealed chronic injuries. He is being treated in the Critical Medical Room (CCU).
