Fraud on phone by calling Corona Vaccine, Aadhaar and OTP

The work of the coronavirus vaccine in the country against the coronavirus has begun loudly, and fraudsters have launched a new game of fraud in the name of vaccination. The central government has instructed people across the country to be vigilant about the Kovid vaccination OTP scam. The fraudsters are calling people and asking for the Aadhaar card number and OTP in the name of the corona vaccine. The government says not to rely on any such call.

What is a new scam
The official Twitter handle of PIB FactCheck has warned citizens in this regard. It has been said that some fraudsters call people (especially the elderly) and inform them of the Uganda Authority of India. They ask for Aadhaar card and OTP for verification in the name of Kovid vaccine delivery. Your information can be used to deceive. So don’t give this kind of information to anyone on the phone.

If you provide information like OTP, the fraudster can empty the bank account linked to your Aadhaar. According to the government, there is no department called Drug Authority of India. It’s totally fake. However, there is an organization called Drug Controller General of India (DCGI), which is licensed and licensed for medicines and medical devices in the country.

There are scams like this
People are being blocked not only by phone but also by email. Many fraudsters are sending emails to people and filling out a form in the name of vaccination registration, where their personal information is obtained. Not only the central government, but also many state governments and local police are advising them to stay away from such frauds.
