Getting ready for Tesla’s electric cars, the company begins testing the Model 3 in India, see video

American Electric Vehicle Manufacturer Tesla, Inc. Recently, it was officially announced that it was entering the Indian market. In December last year, Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari had confirmed that Tesla’s electric cars would start selling in the Indian market from next year. Now Tesla’s famous car Model 3 has been spotted during testing.

In fact, a YouTube channel named The Fat Biker has uploaded a video in which Model 3 can be seen during testing. This blue car is a top spec dual motor (all-wheel drive) model, in which the company uses 18-inch wheels and an aero body kit. However, there is no word on whether the company will release the all-wheel drive model in the Indian market or not.

What does the Tesla Model 3 electric car look like:

The model available in the global market comes with different battery packs. In its standard range model, the company offers a 54 kilowatt capacity battery pack, while in the long range performance model, the 82 kilowatt battery pack is offered. Depending on the variants, the car will run from 381 km to 614 km on a single charge.

Tesla, Inc. a few months ago. ROC has registered a new company in India under the name of Tesla India Motors & Energy Pvt. Ltd. According to the Registrar of Companies (Rosie), Vaibhav Taneja, Venkatrangam Sriram and David John Feinstein have been appointed directors of Tesla India.

Earlier, the company’s CEO Elon Musk had indicated on the company’s entry into India on social media. Musk said in response to users on Twitter that Tesla could release its cars in India by 2021. It is also said in media reports that the model to be introduced in the Indian market can be manufactured in China and then imported into India.

However, there is no information on whether the company will bring it to India via the Complete Knockdown (CKD) route or the Completely Built Unit (CBU) route. At the same time, the company is also contemplating to start a manufacturing plant in India, which will take time. Recently Karnataka Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa had said that Tesla would set up its first production plant in Karnataka. But as of now there is no development in terms of land allocation etc. for the plant, so it is believed to be delayed.
