Godfather of Harlem Season 2 Release Date, Time, Countdown, When Coming out? Sets Premier for April 2021

Epics has just released a Season 2 teaser for Godfather of Harlem and the TV premiere for April 2021. Actor and executive produced by Oscar-winning Forest Whitaker (The Last King of Scotland), one of the cast members of the season was Vincent D’Onofrio (Law & Order: Criminal Intent), Ilfenesh Hadera (She Gotta Have It), Nigel Thatch (Selma), Giancarlo Esposito (The Mandelorian), Lucy Fry (Bright), Kelvin Harrison Jr. (Mudbound), Ruffy Gavron (A Star Born), and Antoinette Crowe-Legacy. There is no mention of whether the entire cast will return for a second for Tewi. The series will be produced by ABC Signature.

The Godfather of Harlem tells a story inspired by the notorious crime boss Bumpy Johnson (Forrest Whitaker), who returned from eleven years in prison in the early 1960s. Since the streets are controlled by the Italian mob, the Bumpy Genovese crime family must be taken to regain control.

During the brutal war, he makes an alliance with radical preacher Malcolm X – catching Malcolm’s political rise at the crossroads of the social revolution and a mob war threatening to tear down the city. The Godfather of Harlem is the confrontation of the criminal underground and civil rights movement during one of the most turbulent times in American history.

Will there be another series of Godfather of Harlem?

Fans of crime drama will be glad to know that the second season has already been commissioned. Earlier this year it was announced as the second part of the show’s 10-episode run on February 12, 2020

The show was expected to start production in New York by the end of 2020 but there were some delays due to coronavirus COVID-19. According to Broadway World, it’s officially opening now so fans should see the show in 2021.

UK viewers will have to wait a little longer as the only release date for season one is given. It will drop once a week on StarPlay through Amazon Prime Video from November 1. Express.co.uk will update this story as soon as its release date is confirmed.
