The country’s leading electric two-wheeler manufacturer, Okinawa, has announced a cut of its vehicles. Recently, the Department of Heavy Industries (DHI) made some major amendments to the Hybrid and Electric Vehicle Production (FIM II) project. The company has now announced that it will offer a full subsidy benefit of 15000 / KWH to its customers. Depending on the different models of the company, the price cut will range from Rs 7,200 to Rs 17,800.
According to information provided by the company, these new prices have been implemented since June 11. The Department has issued a notification in this direction, under which the incentive amount for electric two wheelers in the country has been increased, which will reduce the cost of vehicles. According to the department, the subsidy for electric two-wheelers will be around Rs 15,000 per kilowatt.

Currently, Okinawa sells a total of 3 electric scooters, including the iPress Plus, Press Pro and Ridge Plus models. The company has revised the price of these three models and these scooters are very cheap. Below are their prices.

Okinawa Iprise +:
This is the company’s best-selling model. Demand for this scooter has tripled in the past few months, the company said. It offers features like smartphone connectivity, which can be connected to the Okinawa Echo app. The scooter comes with a detachable lithium-ion battery and delivers 160 to 180 km on a single charge. It takes just 2 to 3 hours to fully charge, and the scooter is about 30 to 40 percent lighter than other vehicles in its segment, the company claims.
Okinawa PricePro:
The company uses a high speed lithium i-on battery on this scooter. The scooter is equipped with a 1000 W BLDC electric motor with a 2.0kWh capacity battery. On a single charge, the scooter delivers a range of up to 90 km and takes just 2 to 3 hours to get a full charge.
Okinawa Ridge +:
This is the company’s flagship model, available in one variant and two color options. Its electric motor can generate up to 800 watts of power. Given the drum brake on the front and rear wheels, it comes with an electronic assisted braking system. This scooter can also be connected to a smartphone and it also has a feature like Find My Scooter. Generally, this scooter delivers a driving range of up to 120 km / h and its top speed is 55 km / h.
