The hacker group in Jammu and Kashmir is accused of leaking data of military personnel using Bharti Airtel’s network. However, the company has denied any breaches in its system. The group is named the Red Rabbit Team. The group has hacked some Indian websites and put data on the web pages of those portals.
In response to cyber security researcher Rajasekhar Rajaria’s tweet, the hackers have shared some links to these web pages and tagged them to media outlets.
The Indian Army did not get an answer
The question sent to the Indian Army was not answered. However, an army officer said, “We have no information on such information.” But some implicit selfish elements seem to have done so with the wrong intention. When contacted, a spokesperson for Bharti Airtel denied any breaches on its server.
Another big data breach? The hacker group is alleged to have uploaded a “shell” @airtelindia Server. All India Airtel is now selling subscriber data including Aadhaar number. 2.5 million posted as sample data. Requires investigation and appropriate action
“We can confirm that there is no break in the Airtel system as this group claims,” the spokesman said. Many stakeholders outside of Airtel can access the data in accordance with regulatory requirements. We have informed the concerned authorities about this. We have asked them to investigate and take appropriate action.

The group has been in contact with our teams for the past 15 months and has consistently been giving contradictory claims, the spokesman said. The group is posting incorrect data from one area. The hacker can access a shared link based on the customer’s name, mobile number and address. But after a while it stopped working. In a message to the PTI-language, Red Rabbit claims that Bharti Airtel’s data has been accessed at the All India level and that some more data will be leaked soon. Rajahriya said hackers failed to provide any credible evidence of Bharti Airtel’s access to all India data.
