The three-match T20 International Series between India and Sri Lanka has begun. The first match of the series was played on 25 July at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, with Team India winning by 38 runs. When the dual teams came to the national anthem before the match began, Team India all-rounder Hardik Pandya was also seen singing the national anthem of the Sri Lankan national anthem, the video of which went viral on social media. This match is not unique to Hordik. While batting, he scored 10 off 12 balls, then dropped the catch while fielding and took wickets while bowling 17 runs in two overs.
Sri Lanka won the toss and invited Team India to bat first. India scored 164 for five in their allotted 20 overs. Suryakumar Yadav scored 50 runs for India while Shikhar Dhawan scored 46 runs. Sri Lanka had two wickets each for Hasanunga and Chamira.

In reply Sri Lanka were reduced to 126 in 18.3 overs. Bhuvneshwar Kumar was India’s greatest batsman. Bhuvi took four wickets for 22 runs in 3.3 overs. Deepak Chahar also bagged two wickets. Yuvvendra Chahal made a spectacular bowling performance for India and took one wicket for just 19 runs in four overs. Sri Lanka’s Charith Asalanka scored 44 runs. India lead 1-0 in the series. India won the previous one-day international series 2-1.
