High revenue will be available in highway real estate, restaurants, food courts, retail outlets, electric vehicle charging stations

Property consultant JLL India believes that by developing real estate on national highways, builders and potential investors can earn more than 15 per cent or more. JLL India said in a statement on Monday that the government is focusing on providing world-class infrastructure and related services to the highway network.

The consultant said commercial space, warehouses and logistics parks and facilities for travelers would need to develop facilities such as restaurants, food courts, retail outlets and electric vehicle charging stations along the highways. In a statement, JLL India said, “National highways across the country offer real estate development opportunities. Builders can get a 15 percent return on their development.

Investors keep an eye on these properties

The National Highway Authority (NHAI) has identified more than 650 properties in 22 states, the consultant said. Under this, more than 3,000 hectares of land need to be developed in partnership with the private sector over the next five years. Of these, 94 are under construction on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, 376 New Highways / Expressways and 180 on the Highways.
