Home Minister Amit Shah said in the Lok Sabha – Jammu and Kashmir will be given full state status at the right time

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday said the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganization (Amendment) Bill had nothing to do with state status and that Jammu and Kashmir would be given full state status at the appropriate time.

Responding to the debate in the Lok Sabha on the Jammu and Kashmir Reforms (Amendment) Bill of 2021, the Home Minister said that the bill does not provide for statehood for Jammu and Kashmir anywhere. He said, “I repeat that this bill has nothing to do with the status of the state of Jammu and Kashmir.

The Home Minister responded to the allegation of restoring 4G internet facilities under pressure. He said, “Asaduddin Owaisi Ji said 2G to 4G internet service has been implemented under pressure from foreigners. They are not aware that it is not the UPA government that they support.

He said, “Here’s what happened to the promises made when removing Article 370? I answer that, but I’d like to ask that it took just 17 months to remove Article 370. What have you done for 70 years, brought your accounts?”

Shah said that those who have had the opportunity to rule the country for generations, look at their hands and see if you are entitled to ask for a 17-month account.

“I would like to say this House once again, please understand the situation of Jammu and Kashmir,” the Home Minister said. Make no statement to make misleading politics public.

Shah said that the official authorities would divide them into Hindu-Muslim. Can a Muslim officer not serve the Hindu people or can a Hindu officer serve the Muslim people? Officials split Hindu and Muslim and call themselves secular, he said.

Notably, AIMIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi alleged that the number of Muslim officers in Jammu and Kashmir is low in terms of population.
