South Korean carmaker Hyundai today unveiled its new 7-seater SUV Hyundai Alcazar. The company has a starting price of Rs 16.30 lakh. Top Model Price Rs 19.9 lakh (Ex-showroom). The car has been released in three trims – Prestige, Platinum and Signature with diesel and petrol engine options. In addition to the 6-seater and 7-seater options in the car, manual and automatic transmission options are also offered. That is to say, consumers have the freedom to choose many variants of their choice.
Hyundai Alcazar gets 4000 bookings
At the press conference after the launch, the company said it had received 4000 bookings for its new SUV. Booking for the Hyundai Alcazar began in early June. Hyundai claims that the three trims are almost identical (33.3 per cent). Customers opted for the new 2.0-liter petrol model (55 per cent of bookings) over the diesel model (45 per cent of bookings).

Also, manual and automatic gearboxes are equivalent to 50 per cent of bookings. The 6-seat variant is more popular with bookings of 60 per cent compared to the 7-seater, the company said. Hyundai says the waiting period for the new Alcazar is four and eight weeks (1-2 months). The Top Model Signature can be purchased through Hyundai’s new ‘Signature’ dealer network, the company said.
Sunroof features like base variant
The company used a special technique this time. Hyundai has added many premium features to the original model. Hyundai Alcazar’s entry-level Prestige trim features features such as a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and panoramic sunroof. The top model of the car gets an 8-way adjustable driver seat, air purifier, ambient lighting, 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster, lane change camera and 360-degree camera.

Mileage up to 20.4 km
The Hyundai Alcazar SUV gets a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder petrol engine that produces 115bhp and 250Nm of torque. In addition, the 1.5 liter, 4 cylinder turbocharged diesel engine is offered with 159bhp and 192Nm of torque. It gets a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. With a diesel engine and manual transmission, the car delivers mileage of up to 20.4 kilometers. This car accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in just 10 seconds.
