Hyundai AX 1: Hyundai’s Micro SUV reappears during testing

South Korean carmaker Hyundai is working on its own small SUV. Currently, this SUV is named AX1. The car may be released next year. Recently, the car was revealed during testing, revealing details on the design of this sub-4 meter SUV. The car will compete directly with the Tata HBX and Maruti Suzuki Ignis.

The Hyundai AX1 design is as follows

It can get split headlamps like the Hyundai space, with LED daytime running lights on the top. It features clamshell shaped bonnet, wide central air intake, blanket LED tail lamps and diamond cut alloy wheels.

Car engine

According to reports, the 1.2-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine can be offered in the Hyundai AX1. It produces a maximum of 83 ps of power and 115 Nm of torque. The same engine of the company is also found in models like the Grand i10 Neos and i20. This engine will come with a 5-speed manual transmission and a 5-speed AMT.

Hyundai AX 1 Micro SUV is priced at Rs 4 lakh to Rs 7 lakh. (Ex-showroom). The interior of the car is mostly similar to the Grand i10 Neos and the third generation i20. Speaking of the interior, it can get features such as an eight-inch large touch screen infotainment system, wireless charging, steering wheel with mounted controls, and keyless access.
