The chargesheet is filed in sections of the Rape, Murder, Harassment and SC / ST Act. “CBI will take the victim’s brother to Gujarat for psychological evaluation,” Munna Singh Pandir’s lawyer said. In fact, psychological evaluation involves direct and indirect questions related to the case by the complainant or the accused. This time his responses are recorded. The victim’s brother has lodged an FIR in the Hathras incident. Earlier, the Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court had raised concerns about the government not taking any action against DM Praveen Kumar Laxkar. As the court adjourned the next hearing of the case, it had asked the CBI to submit a status report of the investigation that day.
On the other hand, the DM and the then SP have reiterated their earlier statement that the victim’s last rites are being taken into consideration in the immediate context. He dismissed the charge of using kerosene at a funeral. He said the family of the victims were protected by the Supreme Court order.
