The fourth and final Test of the four-match Test series between India and Australia is taking place at Brisbane’s Gaba Field. Australia have tightened their grip on the third day of the Test. Half of India’s team has already returned to the pavilion before the tea break. Pat Cummins led the Kangaroo team to their first success of the day, Cheteshwar Pujara (25), who failed to turn his good start into a big innings. Subsequently, skipper Ajinkya Rahane (37) and Mayank Agarwal (38) also took their wickets. Rishabh Pant, who played 97 innings in the last Test, could not do anything special in the first innings. Shortly after Pant’s dismissal, Shardul Thakur, who came to the crease, started his innings with a sparkle and hit a six and a four in his over. In fact, shortly after Rishabh Pant’s dismissal, Shardul Thakur came to the crease and scored a leg-by on Josh Hazloud’s three balls, but in the next over, he hit Pat Cummins’s first delivery and the fourth delivery of the same over. Shirdul Thakur has been replaced by Ravindra Jadeja, who has been ruled out of the series due to injury in Sydney. Shardul along with T Natarajan and Washington Sundar are also in the squad. T Natarajan and Washington Sundar scored the best bowling figures of three for their debut. After scoring 369 in the first innings, Australia were all out. The four-match series is currently 1–1.
