Team India is back for the second Test of the five-match series at Lord’s Historic Ground. Ashwin is not included in the playing XI. England have made three changes to their playing XI for the Lord’s Test, with India making just one. Ishant Sharma has been included in India’s Playing Eleven to replace the injured Shardul Thakur. Immediately after the toss, both teams announced their Playing XI.
Michael Vaughan wrote, ‘It looks like England have picked the right team and India have not done so. Ashwin should be included in the team for his batting and quality bowling. He bowls well in all conditions, the perfect day to bowl. Looks like a lot of wickets are falling.
It feels like England have picked the right team & India haven’t … Ashwin had to play for India to give him a higher batting and his quality bowling … He bowls better in all conditions … Perfect bowling day … feels like a wicket day … #ENGVIND
