India won 1–1 in a four-Test series against England. Speaking of the match, India won their second Test on the fourth day in Chennai. India won the toss and batted first and scored 329 runs, in response England’s first innings was reduced to 134. India scored 286 in the second innings and gave England a target of 482 to win. In response, England’s second innings was reduced to 164. R Ashwin, who scored eight wickets in the entire match and scored 106 in the second innings, was named Player of the Match.
