IND vs ENG: Akash Chopra quits India’s playing XI selection for Lord’s Test match, Ishant Sharma

The second match of the five-match Test series between India and England will be played at Lord’s Historic Stadium from 12 August. Both teams have been plagued by player injuries. Akash Ravichandran has given Ashwin a chance to replace Shardul.

IND vs ENG: Ishant Sharma or Ashwin get the chance to replace Shirdul Thakur, something in India’s playing XI

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Akash said Ravichandran Ashwin should be replaced by Shahdul Thakur. Explaining the reason behind this, Akash said Indian batting was weak due to Shardul’s absence and that if a specialist were to feed a fast bowler in his place, India would have to shoulder the burden. The former cricketer said Ashwin would be a good choice to replace Shardul. It was not in favor of Akash Ishant Sharma being included in Playing XI. He said that Mohammad Siraj had bowled well in the first Test and looking at it, it was not right to keep this fast bowler out of the team.

IND vs ENG: Virat Kohli doesn’t like the Lord’s Ground

Ishant Sharma’s record at the Lord’s is impressive and he was instrumental in the team’s victory in 2014. The first Test match in India and England is drawn by rain.
