IND vs ENG: Despite scoring a century at Lord’s, KL Rahul regrets it, saying what will happen on the third day of Team India Game Plan

The second match of the five-match Test series between India and England is being played at Lord’s. On the second day of the Test, the English bowlers prevailed and England were all out for 364 with India’s remaining 7 wickets remaining at 88. KL Rahul, who scored a century at Lord’s Ground, known as Mecca of Cricket, fell to Oli Robinson, batting on the first day, adding just 2 runs to his score on the second day. At the press conference, Rahul was always disappointed when he was dismissed, but regretted losing his wicket by hitting the ball directly into the cover fielder’s hand at half-volley.

Speaking at a virtual press conference, Rahul said: ‘I am always disappointed when I leave. Obviously it was very important to us in the morning, we had 270 on board. Our goal is to go out there and score 70-80 in the morning so that we can put in big bucks. So I was trying to do just that. I took good care of myself last night and I was so happy. The morning was very fresh for me. I wanted to go out there and re-establish myself so that I could play with more freedom. It was very disappointing to see a half volley hit straight into the covers.

IND vs ENG: Virat Kohli’s decision not to free Team India at Lord’s, open pole in first innings

Speaking about the India team’s plan on the third day of the Lord’s Test, Rahul said, “It’s too early to predict anything. We will play as the situation arises.” Obviously we will get there tomorrow and try to put pressure on the English batsmen by getting some wickets in the opening hour. We know there is not much going on on the pitch, we have to keep our line and length right and work on our plan. We look at every batsman’s plan and execute it and wait for the batsman to make a mistake.
