IND vs ENG: Mayank Agarwal is out of the test before the ball hits his head

Indian opener Mayank Agarwal was hit on the head by teammate Mohammed Siraj’s short ball during practice on Wednesday. With that, he has been ruled out of the five-match Test series opener against England. Siraj is one of the fastest Indian bowlers to tour England. During practice, Mayank took his eyes off his small ball, then the ball fell to the back of his head with a helmet.

It was a bit uncomfortable for him after the helmet opened and then he sat down on the floor with Physio Nitin Patel. He then got out of the trap with Patel on the back of his head. With the departure of Mayank, now KL Rahul could get a chance as an opener. Rahul has opened the innings in most Test matches, but these days he prefers to play in the middle order. Another option for the team’s opening batsman is Bengal Abhimanyu Eshwaran.
