Sharing his three-year tweet, he wrote: “My opinion of Rohit Sharma has not changed even after three years.” Rohit has been open in ODIs for a long time but he had the opportunity to open in Test matches. Rohit hit 18 fours and two sixes in his innings and shared a century partnership with Ajinkya Rahane for the fourth wicket.

After winning the toss and batting first, India did not start well and Shubman Gill was bowled by Oli Stone without opening the account. After this, Cheteshwar Pujara (21) and skipper Virat Kohli (0) showed nothing special with the bat. Rahane and Rohit shared a century partnership for the fourth wicket and brought the team score to 200, but England returned to the match by dismissing Rohit and Rahane in the last session of the day.
