India continues to dominate the 10-meter air pistol in the ISSF World Cup shooting in Delhi. She won gold medals in the men’s and women’s categories on Sunday. In the men’s final, Youth Olympic and Asian Games gold medalist Saurabh Chaudhary, Abhishek Verma and Shahzar Rizvi defeated Vietnam easily by beating Vietnam 17–11. In the men’s final, Vietnam was represented by Tan Tan Nguyen, Kwak Kuog Tran and Xuan Chuanfan.
In the second qualifier, the Indian men’s team scored a total of 579 points and Vietnam’s team scored 565 points. In the first qualifier, the Indian team scored 1750 and Vietnam 1708. At the same time, India’s Yashwaswini Singh Deswal, Manu Bhakkar and Sri Nivetha won gold in the women’s 10 meter air pistol team.
Indian women win gold medal at ISSF Shooting World Cup
Earlier, the 23-year-old Deshwal won the gold medal in the women’s 10-meter air rifle event on Saturday. Choudhary won silver and Verma won bronze in the men’s 10m air pistol final. 294 shooters from 53 countries including Korea, Singapore, USA, UK, Iran, Ukraine, France, Hungary, Italy, Thailand and Turkey are participating in this competition.
