Former India captain Sunil Gavaskar said India’s fight on this tour of Australia will be remembered for many years. The last Test of the four-Test series between India and Australia is taking place in Brisbane and Team India need to score 324 on the fifth day to win. The series is currently 1-1. The Indian team in the series was racially reactionary and many of its players were injured, but Team India gave Australia the right answer on every front.

The fight was special as the team dropped their lowest Test score to 36 in the second innings of the first Test in Adelaide. The team won the second Test in Melbourne and won the third Test in Sydney. Gavaskar said it is not important what will happen in Gaba. As Indians we are very proud of our cricketers. I represented the team on the tour of Australia and I know how challenging it can be. But what we saw in this series was a very different experience.

He said India’s resolve and courage was inspiring. Many players on the team have been out of their home and have been in quarantine for the past five months. He said he performed quite well. These players had to work hard enough. Despite this, the team has not given up the excitement of fighting and they are still trying their best to keep the trophy. If India wins or draws this match, it will retain the Border-Gavaskar Trophy as India won the series 2–1 on the previous 2018–19 tour.
