Summary: Iru Malargal is a show that follows the life of matriarch Sarala, who runs the wedding hall and lives with her two daughters Pragya and Ammu, happy to see them apart from the poles, some day happily married.
Pragya, the eldest daughter who is committed to practical, hard work and nurturing her family, even though she has finished her own studies, teaches in college, to ensure that the meager income earned by her mother Sarala’s marriage pavilion never goes down. In the midst of all this stress on her, she has forgotten how to unwind or pursue any of her own passions. Ammu, the youngest daughter with a head in the clouds is lively, smart, stylish and a complete dreamer. Believing in herself, the removal of the pink world and any real use to her family will not happen to her.
