According to sources, the cricketer and nurse met online about three years ago. The nurse described herself as a fan of cricket and said she was a doctor at a private hospital in Delhi. The cricketer recently got in touch with him and was seeking advice on avoiding the Kovid-19 epidemic. BCCI ACU chief Ajit Singh confirmed the matter, but said the matter was now over. He told the Indian Express, “The player told us during the IPL, we have investigated it and the matter is now over.”

He said, ‘We have investigated the matter thoroughly, we know the accused player. When the player mentioned the matter, we took all the details, after which we even called them but we got nothing from them. This thing is over. According to BCCI sources, the player told the ACU that he had never met the nurse, and that the conversation between the two was only through social media. A BCCI source said, “She said she did not know where she lives or works.” During an online chat, she told the player she wanted to bet and that’s why she wanted to know the team’s playing XI. The cricketer responded angrily to the nurse and said he would warn the police about the matter. After that the nurse said she would delete all the messages and would not tell anyone about it.
